Location

Since April 2005, the center of Peter Müller and his team is situated less than 50 meters from the turquoise colored water. It is directly in front of the speed strip with lots of free upwind space. The Palm Royale Soma Bay is within walking distance but has a separate beach. There is no Marina quay or hotels blocking the wind. We are offering a panorama terrace with it’s own Bar, lots of shade, showers, toilets, changing rooms as well as umbrellas and sun beds. We also have our own workshop to repair boards, sails and kites. Our VDWS-Center has the newest equipment from Neilpryde, JP, Fanatic and Spleene. Kiting and windsurfing lessons are taught by qualified teachers.

Basically our center lies in the same wind area as Hurghada and Safaga, but the up to 30 meter high sandbank in the North creates a plane wing effect which increases the wind between one and one and a half Beaufort. Otherwise there is the morning wind which blows till 10/12 o’clock cross off shore. Later on it will change the direction slightly and blow cross shore and stronger from the perfect angle to the sandbank. Till 14/15. o’clock we have a very stable wind which then decreases slowly depending on the season – sometimes it even blows till shortly before the sunset.
